A lot of us went to the malls to do a little shopping/walking around. In the malls...or in stores...or on the street, it is very common to get stopped and interviewed by the local kids in the school. It's actually an assignment for them to interview people like us when they see us to practice their English. Questions include: Name, age, where we're from, if we like the Indonesian food, what we like best about Indonesia, how long we are staying, hobbies, etc etc. It's quite cute and they almost interview us in aw or are shy! And they've always ended the interview with Facebook (don't you just love social media, it's so universal!). A lot of us have become friends with these interviewers on facebook now! And even kids from the camp who looked up our roster online! They even posted a picture (which they take after the interview as proof to their teacher). Below is one of Kacie, Kaitlyn, and Melissa after an interview with two girls. They requested to be our friends then tagged us in this picture!

Events from today!
We got to sleep in an extra hour till 8am. However, most of us were awoken again at 4am by the Muslim call of prayer. It's quite loud, we all believe there is a speaker right outside our windows, but that's really not the case. Anyway, breakfast was delicious as usual, see picture below! An omelete with little hotdogs!
After breakfast, we all headed back to our rooms to change into our swimsuits: we were headed to Waterbom, a beautiful water park in Jakarta. It was a lot of fun, so hot outside. A lot of us got some pretty good sun burns. Don't worry, we (some of us) put sun screen on before! We also got to experience our first soda pop since being in Indonesia. It was very refreshing. For some, like Amanda and Benny, it was extremely refreshing.
A view of the water park, so beautiful.

After we got back from the water park, we went straight to our rooms to grab our cleats. Since us soccer girls played a basketball game, it was only fitting that the basketball girls play us in soccer! We played one 25-30 minute half and won 5-0. After the first half, the bball girls were pretty spent as were we, so we decided to end the game there! They did a fantastic job and were very good sports. While they didn't get one shot on Kaity Men, they still played super hard and had a ton of fun! (Picture to follow next time).
I'm going to have to cut this blog short. The Times bookstore is closing up! I'll leave you with a picture of Jakarta from our trip back from the water park.
